Wilson’s Country Sustainability Journey
Thanks to Angus Wilson and the team at Wilson's Country for sharing insights from its journey towards net-zero with us. This new Anaerobic Digester will be able to power 60% of the company’s annual electricity requirements. Recognising rising customer demand and the need to do to more to help combat climate change, AIB has tripled its Climate Action Fund to €30 billion as it takes further action to support the transition to a low carbon economy by increasing its green lending. AIB Group is targeting that 70% of its new lending will be green or transition by 2030 and we have been accelerating support to customers. Our experience is that the more sustainable lending we do, the more capital we can attract to finance such investment. We are acting now to ensure AIB is leading the financial market in climate change action – benefiting not only our customers and the wider economy, but wider society.
